Marios Papachrysostomou is a graduate of the Medical School of the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt, Germany.

As a resident in General Surgery, he worked at the 1st Surgical Clinic of the military hospital 417 NIMTS, at the 1st Vascular Surgery Clinic of Laiko Hospital in Athens, as well as at the General Surgery Clinics of Limassol and Nicosia General Hospitals, where he was trained in a wide range of general surgical procedures.

 

After acquiring the specialization in General Surgery, he worked at Helios Klinikum Schwerin in Germany and subsequently as a Consultant of Surgery at the private hospitals Bioclinic Athens, Euroclinic Athens, and Metropolitan General, participating in a large number of surgeries covering the entire spectrum of general surgery.

 

He also obtained a Master Degree in "Surgery of Thyroid and Parathyroid Glands" from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki with distinction, and he holds a Diploma in Laparoscopic Surgery from the University of Strasbourg.

 

He participated in numerous postgraduate training courses during which he received training in Abdominal Surgery from the German Society of General and Abdominal Surgery (DGAV) and the Gastrointestinal Surgery Foundation in Davos, Switzerland.

 

Additionally, he was trained in Laparoscopic Surgery of the Upper and Lower Gastrointestinal Tract by the European Association of Endoscopic Surgery (EAES), participated in postgraduate practical course in Minimally Invasive Techniques for pathologies of the Colon at the Surgical Training Institute (STI) in Bucharest, Romania, and received training in Minimally Invasive Surgery from the Research Institute against Digestive Cancer (IRCAD France) in Strasbourg. Moreover, he attended training courses in Laparoscopic Surgery of the Colon, Rectum, and Anus at the NoDE Institute in Athens.

Dr. Papachrysostomou provides treatments across the spectrum of General Surgery, including diseases of the Thyroid and Parathyroid glands, Gallbladder, Abdominal Wall diseases, Anal and Perianal diseases, Coccygeal diseases, Benign and/or Malignant diseases of the Digestive System etc.

​

In his practice, the surgeon performs daily, under local anesthesia, minor procedures for the removal of skin and subcutaneous lesions such as lipomas, moles, sebaceous cysts, and incision and drainage of abscesses, among others.

 

The doctor consults and performs minor surgeries at his clinics located at:

• Medcare Clinic, 26 Pindarou Street in Nicosia, and

• Zoi Medical Center, 7 Nikou Kranidioti Street in Engomi (Nicosia).

 

He offers his services to beneficiaries under the General Healthcare System (GeSY), as well as to patients not affiliated with GeSY.
